Learn about ELDT and its role in preparing you for a successful trucking career

A Beginner's Guide to Entry-Level Driver Training and the Trucking Industry

What is an Entry-Level Driver Training?

The ELDT regulations are a set of minimum Federal guidelines for entry-level drivers. This includes rules about when and how often you can take certain skills or knowledge tests, depending on your permit type; it also exempts some people from having to complete some training requirements at all!

Don't miss out and start the ELDT courses.

ELDT applies only to any CDL Permit after February 7, 2022.

For every CDL Permit issued after February 7, 2022, Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) is required. You must enroll in and complete the Class A or B Theory Course if you are applying for your first Class A or Class B CDL. The ELDT Theory Course MUST be finished prior to the start of Training. A certificate will be sent to you once you have finished the ELDT Theory Course; you must show the certificate to your school.
